More Information

  • Application Under an Ostomy Appliance:
    - Remove the skin barrier/pouch you are currently wearing.
    - Thoroughly clean and dry skin
    - Apply AllKare Protective Barrier Wipe and allow it to dry completely, do not touch.
    - Rinse the area well with clear water and dry thoroughly.
    - Apply the new skin barrier/pouch.
  • Additional Help for Irritated Skin:
    - Remove the skin barrier/pouch you are currently wearing.
    - Thoroughly clean and dry skin.
    - Apply a light dusting of ConvaTec Stomahesive Powder to the skin surrounding the stoma, blow off any excess.
    - Pat the powder with AllKare Protective Barrier Wipe, making sure that all of the powder is wet (use two wipes if needed).
    - Allow the area to dry thoroughly.
    - A blow dryer set on cool may be used. The powder will show a shiny coat.
    - Apply the new pouch.
