Mepilex Transfer Soft Silicone Dressing Features:

How Does Mepilex Transfer Wound Dressing Work?
Mepilex Transfer Silicone Wound Dressing is a thin and highly conformable foam dressing that absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound healing environment. The Safetac layer seals around the edges of the wound, preventing the exudate from leaking onto the surrounding skin thereby minimizing the risk of maceration. As the Safetac layer seals around the wound, the foam structure of Mepilex Transfer allows the exudate to move vertically into a secondary absorbent dressing, maintaining a moist wound environment. The Safetac layer ensures atraumatic dressing changes. Mepilex Transfer can be cut to suit various wound shapes and locations.
When is Mepilex Transfer Antimicrobial Dressing Suitable to Use?
- For medium- to high exuding wounds
- For fungating tumours, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), donor sites or venous leg ulcers
- As a protective layer on non-exuding wounds and/or large areas with fragile skin
- To provide less painful dressing changes for your patients
