Pari O-PEP Mucus Clearance Device is an Oscillating Positive Expiratory Pressure device in which patients exhale into the device against a movable ball, causing a vibration that is transmitted to the lungs. How to use the Breather Device?

  • Sit in a upright, relaxed position.
  • Place the mouthpiece between your teeth and enclose it with your lips.
  • Breath in slowly and deeply through your nose. Hold your breath for about 1 to 3 seconds.
  • Breathe out slowly and completely into Pari O-PEP through your mouth. While exhaling, tense your cheek muscles and keep your cheeks rigid.
  • Repeat the cycle of breathing in and out for 10 to 15 breaths.

Instructions For Use

  • Preparation:
    -     Disassamble the Pari O-PEP
    - Set the ball to one side so that it cannot roll away
    - Remove the lanyard from the lower part
  • Cleaning:
    - Clean with dishwashing liquid in warm tap water
    - Rinse the individual components thoroughly in running water
  • Disinfection
    - Boil in a sufficient quantity of boiling water (5 minutes)
    or
    - Steam disinfector (at least 6 minutes)
  • Drying:
    - Lay all parts on a clean, dry and absorbent surface
  • Storage:
    - After drying, always store the parts in the bag provided for this purpose
